#digitalid freenode IRC chat channel

Ok, I took the plunge myself and set up an IRC chat channel on freenode at #digitalid. I hope it could become a regular port of call for the identity-obsessives amongst us (you know who we are), and in the short term provide a way of extending the discussion at and around DIDW 2005.

I don't know how many of you fine identity bloggers use IRC already, but if you don't there are instructions how to get started here.

So, if anyone going to the Identity Gang meeting at Berkman and/or the DIDW conference cares to log into #digitalid to set up a backchannel, I (and possibly many other interested folk) would be most grateful.

Of course, if people are already planning to use another channel (IRC or otherwise) then I shall happily defer. In the meanwhile, I'll be lurking at #digitalid. : )
