Softchaos - Webstractor
This fascinating app for Mac OSX, Webstractor, takes the Safari browser engine and adapts it to allow you to copy and then edit the content of the pages you surf to into digests of the important stuff. Whether I would use it regularly, I'm not sure, but it points to great possibilities for i-together—an i-together browser that allows users to surf the standard web but also the interactively enhanced, XML-described pages of i-together. Of course, the big downer is that we would have to develop Windows and Linux versions to reach a mass market. And the code-base of IE on Windows isn't open-source last time I heard... : )
