OverHear

Lion Kimbro does come over a mite deranged sometimes, but there are some fascinating—and persuasive—concepts in his piece on an imagined communications medium, OverHear:

"I have an idea for a new sort of communications medium. I think this sort of medium will be used all over the place, in the future. I don't have time to make up a good name for it, so I'm just going to call it 'OverHear,' because one of the features is that it's easy to 'Overhear' things by this system, and get in on it."

There's an i-together-like quality in the way he imagines individuals being able to express themselves in their own space, but also to selectively and temporarily merge that space with that of another or others, and/or with a virtual topic space. I'll have to stew on how that can reflect in the i-together information architecture...
